Regular, personal, informal tweets bring people closer even though they're geographically distant in a way that other mediums do not, certainly not email. Also, for whatever reasons, I feel less inhibited tweeting than I do Facebook status updating. If I tweet geeky then at least Claire won't read it and laugh at me. Another also, whatever you say, Mr Fry is a great friend of mine (I was like his 18,000th follower). Apparently it’s all about what they pretentiously call ‘ambient intimacy’.
